Mayor meets with City’s new recycling service provider

10/10/2017

On a blustery day at Mersey Point, Mayor Barry Sammels caught up with Nial Stock, the state’s General Manager for SUEZ Recycling and Recovery. Nial brought with him some of the trucks that have been collecting the City’s recycling and green waste bins since the start of the new three bin system on the 26 June.

For the next eight years SUEZ are responsible for the collection and processing of the City’s green lidded green waste bins and the yellow lidded recycling bins. The City’s waste fleet collect the red lidded waste bins which are landfilled at the Millar Road Landfill Facility.

The smooth transition to the three bin system was assisted by SUEZs experience and professional service delivery.
