The Mary Davies Library and Community Centre will host an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event on Thursday 25 May from 10am to 11.30am. The function will be held in the library space with morning tea served from the library café. There will be live music to entertain guests as well as some unique tea-inspired garments.
“We have been lucky enough to borrow two dresses made from tea bags from the Wearable Art Mandurah competition for this event,” Mayor Barry Sammels said. “They look amazing and are the perfect accessory for this worthwhile cause.”
The dresses are currently on display at the library and will remain there until 2 June.
Entry to the Australia Biggest Morning Tea is by gold coin donation. Guests can book a table of four or six to “gather share and give” – the theme of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Contact the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre at 17 Settlers Avenue, Baldivis on 9591 0800 to make a booking.
