Date Published: 3/02/2012
As part of the Mundijong Road Extension project, the City of Rockingham is required to obtain approval from the Federal Minister for Environment to clear Black-Cockatoo habitat under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999.
The City advertised the documentation for public consultation in November/December 2011 and no submissions were received.
The Federal Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (SEWPaC) has now advised that the City is required to publish the information relating to this matter for public viewing only, prior to a decision being made by the Minister.
