Community Security Service Survey

Date Published: 26/08/2011

The City of Rockingham is currently reviewing its Community Security Service, a 24 hour response service providing security patrols throughout the City of Rockingham. A component of the review includes a short community survey about the service.

Residents who complete the survey are eligible to win one of FIVE $100 gift cards for the Rockingham Shopping Centre.

Surveys can be collected from Safety Bay Library, Murdoch Library, Warnbro Library, Aqua Jetty, Secret Harbour Community Centre and The City of Rockingham Administration Building or completed online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/community_security_service

To be in the running to win one of the five vouchers, completed surveys must be placed in the boxes provided at the above locations, submitted online, or posted to the City of Rockingham, PO BOX 2142, ROCKINGHAM DC WA 6967 by close of business Friday 30 September 2011.

City of Rockingham Mayor, Barry Sammels encouraged people to complete the survey: “It is important the City receives as much feedback from as many residents as possible, to ensure the Community Security Service is meeting our community’s needs and expectations.

“We aspire to work with our community to build a safe community where residents feel secure, relaxed and comfortable within their home, work and social environments.

“By completing the survey you have the opportunity to provide the City with valuable feedback on one of our community safety services.”

Council introduced the Community Security Service in March 2008, following an extensive consultation process, which included a public consultation meeting, surveys and telephone polls.

The majority of residents who took part in the consultation process supported the introduction of a security patrol service within the City, which has remained relatively unchanged. Now the City of Rockingham would like to invite residents to provide valuable feedback on the service.
