About the Summer Series

The Summer Series is a program of family friendly, free entry, smoke-free and alcohol-free events.

These events are staged throughout the City between October and March. The Summer Series provides an opportunity for the Rockingham community to connect and engage in fun, free activities during the summer season at the City's foreshores and parks.

Entry is free to all events.

Please note: It is illegal to consume alcohol in a public place.

Event transport

The City has arranged for Transperth to provide extended services for Bus Route 555 between the Rockingham Train Station and Rockingham Beach, to get you to and from major events. Check out the information below before planning your journey.

Extended services for Bus Route 555 and additional parking will be provided for the following major events:

Rockingham Christmas Lights Festival

  • Flinders Lane will be closed between 4.30pm and 7pm
  • Route 555 will be extended to 10pm, operating on a 15 minute frequency
  • Additional parking will be available at Dixon Road Reserve. Catch the 555 bus at the Goddard Street bus stop.

New Year’s Eve Celebration 2018

  • Additional parking for the event will be available at Village Green and Dixon Road Reserve. Catch the 555 bus at the Goddard Street bus stop
  • Route 555 will be operating on an 8 minute frequency between 4pm–6pm and will be extended to 1am, operating on a 15 minute frequency from 9pm.

Australia Day 2019

  • Additional parking will be available at Village Green and Dixon Road Reserve. Catch the 555 bus at the Goddard Street bus stop
  • Route 555 will be extended to 9.30pm, operating on a 15 minute frequency.

Romance on the Green

  • Route 555 will be extended to 10.30pm, operating on a 15 minute frequency.

International Food Festival

  • Route 555 will be extended to 10pm, operating on a 15 minute frequency.
