Volunteer Involving Organisation Training
The City provides ongoing training opportunities for VIOs located within the City of Rockingham on various topics including governance, volunteer management and skill development. This training is available to all community groups, incorporated and non-incorporated organisations and clubs, including sporting clubs.

Come along to a free, no-obligation session to hear about the opportunities available with volunteering. This session is of particular value to people who are interested in volunteering for the ﬁrst time.

Volunteer Recognition Celebration 2018
National Volunteer Week ran from 21–27 May 2018. The theme was ‘Give a little. Change a lot’. Volunteers are one of the most important resources that a community can have, their generosity contributes towards creating strong communities. The City recognised the hard work and dedication of all Rockingham volunteers with the following events:
The Rockingham Volunteer Centre hosted a digital exhibition sharing the stories of Rockingham Volunteers at the Rockingham Central Library from Monday 21 May–Friday 25 May.
A Volunteer Recognition Celebration was held on Wednesday 23 May 2018 at the Gary Holland Community Centre. Seventy-five dedicated volunteers were acknowledged for the commitment that they and their community organisations show to the Rockingham community. Please see photos from the event below.
