Town Planning Approvals
The primary role of Town Planning Services is to guide and manage land use planning and development throughout Rockingham for the benefit of current and future residents:
This service includes:-
- Providing professional advice to the Council to ensure that it acts in accordance with its statutory planning responsibilities
- Preparing, implementing and maintaining residential, commercial, industrial, rural and Strategic Regional Centre plans and policies
- Developing planning objectives and strategies that are consistent with the Council's priority of conserving and enhancing features of cultural, historical and natural significance
- Providing prompt processing of all land use related applications, enquiries and complaints
- Increasing and encouraging community awareness and participation in the planning process.
