Apprenticeship and graduate program

The City of Rockingham is committed to offering a number of opportunities to recent graduates and school leavers, giving them the chance to develop their theoretical knowledge and gain some practical experience in the career of their choice.

We have graduates or interns in a variety of disciplines, including Financial services and Environmental health.

The City also employs several apprentices in a variety of areas.

An apprentice participates in a training program, usually of four years' duration, combining work and structured training.  On completion of your apprenticeship you will be a qualified tradesperson with a variety of options available to you. Some of the areas you can work in include:

  • Heavy duty mechanics
  • Horticulture and turf management.

All apprenticeship and graduate programs will be advertised on our Current Job Vacancies page when they become available.

For more information on any of our programs, or to see if you are eligible, please contact a Human Resources Officer on (08) 9528 0480 or jobs@rockingham.wa.gov.au.
